The gallery of photos that we will upload here will give you some idea of the beauty that will surround you on a walk around Te Ara Piko Pathway at the northern end of the Pauatahanui Inlet. Pauatahanui Garden Trail 27 November 2016
The weather nearly conspired to spoil this year's event but the garden owners worked hard to make their gardens look extraordinary on the day as you can see here.
Inaugural Pauatahanui Garden Trail 29 November 2015
The purpose of this event was to raise funds to put towards the development of Stage Two and was very successful. You can read about it here.

Horokiri Stream
A natural part of the pathway, meandering through regenerating native plants and crossing the stream and damp areas with bridges and boardwalks.
Old Tennis Court

Nursery for Restoration Planting
Ration Creek Apple Orchard is the site of the plant nursery.
Ration Creek to Ration Point
Pathway construction between Ration Point and Ration Creek Bridge.
Humes Bridge & Parking
At the end of Grays Road there is a small concrete bridge donated by Humes Industries. The area now provides sealed parking for pathway users.
Motukaraka Point
The pathway follows a road which is access to homes on the point. It is a popular beach for windsurfers and there are conveniences. It is a Maori historic site, and also a campsite for US Marines in the 1940s.
Awards
The pathway has received several awards and accolades. The public who enjoy it constantly make favourable comments on a wonderful amenity.
